In a move that reflects the housing giant’s commitment to embracing green and sustainable technologies, Crest Nicholson are piloting the smart home charging points at a number of units in Reading with a view to rolling it out across the entire scheme.
Local authorities are now starting to stipulate that new build housing schemes must have EV charging points installed as part of planning requirements under section 106. The product being supplied by Franklin Energy is the Ensto smart wall box, a compact and powerful EV solution, ideal for the home.
Robert Byrne, Managing Director of Franklin Energy explained:
Crest Nicholson is currently monitoring uptake and usage and are set to make a decision on extending the offering across the entire development.
